Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of MyMonk, a local, AI-powered website editor provided by MyMonk Software Private Limited ("we", "us"). By subscribing or using the editor you agree to these terms.
What MyMonk is
MyMonk is a browser-based editor that you point at a folder on your computer. It reads and writes files on your disk through your browser's File System Access API. To make AI-driven edits it sends your prompts and the file context you select directly to an AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google) using an API key you supply.
Subscription and billing
MyMonk is a $9.99 USD per month subscription, billed monthly in advance through our payment processor. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
Pricing for new subscribers may change over time. Existing subscribers will receive at least 30 days' notice before any price increase takes effect for them.
AI provider fees
You are responsible for the fees charged by the AI provider you choose. Those charges are billed by the provider directly to the payment method on the API key you supplied. We do not collect, mark up, or pass through AI provider fees.
Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use MyMonk for the duration of an active subscription. You may use it for your own work and on behalf of clients. You may not resell, rent, or sublicense access to MyMonk itself.
Your content
The files you edit with MyMonk are yours. We do not receive or store them. You are responsible for what those files contain and for ensuring you have the right to edit them.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use MyMonk to:
- generate, edit, or distribute content that is illegal in your jurisdiction;
- attempt to bypass the editor's approval or sandboxing controls in a way that would harm a third party;
- abuse or attempt to disrupt our billing or authentication systems.
Disclaimers
MyMonk is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the editor will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated suggestions will be accurate, safe, or fit for any particular purpose. You are responsible for reviewing every change before accepting it — that is what the diff and approval flow is for.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to MyMonk is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including loss of data, revenue, or profits.
Termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account page. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or for non-payment.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes via the email on file at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes arising from them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
